Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 pounds (680 grams) fresh lobster meat, cooked and chopped
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 New England-style split-top hot dog buns
  • Chopped fresh chives or parsley, for garnish
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, lemon juice, melted butter, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create the dressing.
  2. Add the cooked and chopped lobster meat to the dressing. Gently toss until the lobster is evenly coated.
  3. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Brush the insides of the hot dog buns with melted butter.
  4. Toast the buns on the skillet or griddle until they become golden and slightly crispy. This will give the rolls a nice texture and enhance the flavor.
  5. Fill each toasted bun with the dressed lobster meat. You can pack the meat generously for a more indulgent roll.
  6. Sprinkle chopped fresh chives or parsley over the lobster meat for a fresh and vibrant garnish.
  7. Serve the lobster rolls immediately, accompanied by lemon wedges on the side. The rolls are typically enjoyed while they are still warm and the lobster meat is succulent.
